Indeed, progress has already been made with said player.

According to a report from Fanatik, Newcastle United have entered talks to sign a Nurnberg sensation, Can Uzun. It's reported that the fee being discussed is around £8.5m, which would align with Newcastle's restrictions due to FFP regulations.

Can Uzun is an attacking midfielder who links the play between midfield and attack well. He is mostly known for his insane dribbling ability, but Newcastle would definitely benefit from his range of passing in the final third. The 18-year-old has been hailed as a "incredible" talent, which may be why he is targeted by Brighton as well.

Everybody knows that Brighton have implemented one of the best recruitment systems in the world and there's a reason why they are able to spend big in the transfer window - Because they buy great players for cheap prices, develop them, and then sell them on for a massive profit.

Long story short, if a player is targeted by Roberto De Zerbi and company at a young age, they are almost destined to be a future star. With that being said, should we win this battle, then Newcastle fans should be very excited.
