Moreover, recent reports suggest that the club had contacted other names even before pursuing Guehi till the end and is on the verge of losing on a top prospect. Not to forget, while the Sengalease power-back Guehi was their desired player in defense, Eddie Howe's side had contacted many names before.

Thus, with the option of Quansah ruled out, Newcastle might want to reignite their interest in signing Marc Guehi in the winter window. Considering the player has entered his last year of contract at the club, the Magpies would hope to have themselves a bit fortunate to land him at around £50M in January.
