Newcastle predicted lineup vs AC Milan: Eddie Howe NEEDS a Champions League triumph
By Kian Long
Newcastle United need to pick up all three points in the Champions League group stage meeting with AC Milan this week. With that in mind, here's the Newcastle predicted lineup vs AC Milan...
Newcastle predicted lineup vs AC Milan
GK - Martin Dubravka: It won't fill Newcastle fans with confidence to have Nick Pope out injured, particularly after Dubravka's recent display against Spurs in the Premier League. But he will play in his first ever Champions League match as he's really being thrown into the deep end. From his perspective, he has plenty of experience which should serve him well.
RB - Kieran Trippier: He was the best player when these two sides met last time out. Trippier has been one of our best players this season so he will hope to continue his rich form in one of the biggest matches of his career.
CB - Jamaal Lascelles: As Sven Botman is nearing his return from injury, this might be one of Lascelles' last opportunities to solidify his place in the starting eleven. He's certainly been impressive, but didn't have a great game against Spurs.
CB - Fabian Schar: One of our standout performers from the previous meeting with AC Milan so he will hope to have another positive display and another clean sheet here.
LB - Tino Livramento: The young Englishman is becoming a staple in the Eddie Howe starting eleven, particularly since the Dan Burn injury. It will be a big test but he's a bright young lad who can play in these occasions.
