Newcastle player ratings: Midfield

CM: Sean Longstaff (7.5/10) - He ran around a lot throughout the game and surely gave his 100%. Also, he got a brace in this game as he started the scoring by being at the right place at the right time. Overall, it is a good performance from Sean Longstaff. However, now, he will be looking to build on it.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes (7/10) - Bruno looked solid as usual. However, he will be disappointed because, at times, Luton was controlling the midfield. Also, he could done a bit more going forward and sometimes, his passing was wayward. Thus, Newcastle fans can expect better performances from their Brazilian talisman.

CM: Lewis Miley (7/10) - There is no doubt that he started the game excellently. He was running around and his passing was immaculate. He started the move that got Longstaff his second goal. Overall, it was a good outing for the youngster but not the result he would have wanted for the team.
