Lewis Miley - 7.5/10. It was a big call to start the youngster in a game of this magnitude; for most players on the pitch, this was the biggest game of their career, let alone the youngster Miley. Ultimately, it was the right decision from Eddie Howe to name an unchanged midfield as Miley had a brilliant and mature game, getting an assist for the opening goal. My joint highest rated in these Newcastle player ratings vs AC Milan

[SUB] Sean Longstaff - 6.5/10. Did well to make an impact on the match but unfortunately his teammates were knackered by the time he came on.

Bruno Guimaraes - 7/10. Almost scored a wonder goal to give Newcastle their second lead, had it not been for an even better save from Maignan. Overall, Bruno G played excellently and made some probing runs to inspire a handful of counter attacks.

Joelinton - 7.5/10. Found some great pockets of space in the midfield, which wasn't his only position throughout this match it must be said. In the first half, he was mostly found in and around the opposition box, where he shot home a rifle of a shot and went to celebrate with Eddie Howe. It was a great finish and I couldn't name a more deserving guy than Joelinton. Unfortunately the goal didn't stand for much, but he's still my standout performer in these Newcastle player ratings vs AC Milan.
