Kieran Trippier - 7/10. He came off after looking worse for wear. It remains to be seen whether he has picked up an injury or Eddie Howe was just being cautious but he had a good first half nonetheless.

[SUB] Dan Burn - 6/10. He did his job well and shut off that left side and had an excellent block in the dying embers of the match to keep the hope somewhat alive. It's great to see him back from injury, as well.

Jamaal Lascelles - 7/10. Lascelles had an excellent first half and I've seen a few people blame him for the equalising goal which I think is harsh. He had a commanding performance and virtually nullified Olivier Giroud, who is a difficult to maintain target man.

Fabian Schar - 6/10. This is a difficult one to analyse. Schar played well and it was a moment of bravery from him which ended up costing us. Essentially, he went forward and left a gap at the back, which ultimately was exploited and saw us go 1-2 down.

Tino Livramento - 6/10. He had a much more lively second half as he returned to the right-hand side of defence, which is where Newcastle operated most of their attacks. It must be said, though, he is one lucky boy that Rafael Leao didn't grab the winner from his poor control.
