Martin Dubravka became injured in pre-season building up to the 2021/22 season and subsequently lost his place between the sticks to his counterpart Darlow. Although, it was a disastrous display in goal from Darlow against Brentford which granted Dubravka a chance to impress again, as he started on his return against Arsenal (which was also Eddie Howe's first game in charge). He soon returned to form and became the number one option for the new manager.
