Newcastle United are looking to get business done early this summer, and one big name is back on their radar.

With the transfer window now open, Eddie Howe is pushing the club to move fast.

After a quiet 2024 in terms of first-team signings, Newcastle want to hit the ground running.

Despite the expected departure of sporting director Paul Mitchell, there’s no intention of slowing down.

The Magpies are finally in a better spot financially.

Big-money sales like Yankuba Minteh, Elliot Anderson and Miguel Almiron, have helped steady things on the PSR front.

That means Newcastle can now go after players they’ve admired for a while.

And one of those names has never really gone away.

According to Geordie Boot Boys, Newcastle are once again showing interest in Marc Guehi.

The England international is under contract at Crystal Palace until 2026, but his future is wide open.

Unless Palace can convince him to sign a new deal, this summer might be their best chance to sell for a good price.

Newcastle tried to get Marc Guehi last year, but a deal couldn’t be reached. Things could be different this time.

The 24-year-old centre-back is now in a stronger position, and while Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish won’t make things easy, there’s belief that Guehi could finally be prised away.

Other big clubs like Chelsea and Real Madrid have also shown interest, so Newcastle aren’t alone in this chase.

But with Howe keen to sort out his defence early in the window, the Magpies are prepared to act fast. Guehi’s calm attitude about his next move could give Newcastle time to put together the right offer.
