Newcastle United aren’t wasting any time this summer. With Liam Delap looking set to join Chelsea, the Magpies have quickly turned their attention elsewhere.

The club had been tracking the talented striker for weeks, but with Stamford Bridge now his likely destination, Newcastle are being forced to act fast.

The goal is to bring in another attacking option, someone with pace, versatility, and Premier League experience.

Eddie Howe knows that next season demands more squad depth.

With European football returning and another top-four push on the cards, Newcastle need fresh legs in attack, someone who can hit the ground running and offer a spark in the final third.

A new name has now emerged on the radar.

Newcastle United prepare bid for Manchester United target

Reports from the Telegraph say that Newcastle are preparing a move for one of the most exciting attackers outside the traditional ‘big six’.

He’s been on Manchester United’s radar too, which shows just how highly rated he is.

However, Newcastle appear to be pushing ahead with their plans, even though there’s one sticking point: the price tag.

Brentford are asking for around £60 million for their star forward Bryan Mbeumo.

That’s a lot of money, and according to GIVEMESPORT, the club isn’t fully convinced about paying it all up front. But there’s some good news too.

The player is open to a move to St. James’ Park, especially, with Champions League football on offer.

The 24-year-old has been one of Brentford’s top performers over the past few seasons.

Quick, sharp, and hard-working, Bryan Mbeumo fits the mould of what Howe wants high energy, direct, and team-first.

He could be a real asset next season, whether out wide or playing through the middle.

With Manchester United also in the race, this one could go down to the wire. But Newcastle are very much in the mix.
