Newcastle United faced their most cursed opponent this weekend as they welcome Marco Rose's Bournemouth to St James' Park.
It has been a fixture and severe pain and suffering for the Magpies in recent years, with no wins in the last seven Premier League fixtures between the two, including 2-1 and 4-1 defeats in the last two league games at St James' Park.
What that means for Matthias Jaissle is he has a curse to break and will need all of his tactical nouse and senior personnel available to right the wrongs of the last few years in this matchup.
But who will he pick to do so? Well, let's take a look.
GK: Lukas Hornicek
No reason to assume anything will change in between the sticks.
Lukas Hornicek is fit and has been excellent so far this season, he will be tasked with keeping the ball out of the net again this weekend.
RB: Amar Dedic
Dedic has been simply unstoppable since signing from Benfica, and has already managed a mightily impressive three assists in three games so far.
Tino Livramento is coming back to fitness but will likely to play second fiddle to Dedic, especially whilst his performance levels are so high.
CB: Malick Thiaw
Not only will Malick Thiaw continue in the starting XI, but he will continue as captain in the absence of both Dan Burn and Joelinton.
Thiaw, alongside the rest of the backline I'll mention here, managed a first clean sheet of the season last time out in a 2-0 win over Spurs and will be hoping to replicate that on home soil.
CB: Sven Botman
Botman has impressed this season after some shaky preseason performances which cast doubt over how he would fare.
It would be a strange decision for Fabian Schar to come in for him right now and the Dutchman is almost certain ton play a full 90 once again tomorrow.
LB: Lewis Hall
Hall has been unlucky to concede a couple of penalties already this season, but his performances have been a lot better than those mistakes may suggest.
The 21-year-old will no doubt start again here, not least because there's nobody else who could take his spot right now...
CM: Lewis Miley
The new look Newcastle United double pivot was absolutely perfect against Spurs and there's no reason why they won't both continue in the starting XI here.
Miley has taken to his newfound starting role like a duck to water and is showing signs that this season could finally be the year he breaks out and let's everyone know he has world class potential.
CM: Nico Gonzalez
The poster boy of the Newcastle United 2.0 project got off to a wonderful start against Spurs and will be looking to continue that momentum here.
Another week of training will serve him well tactically and I can't see a world where he doesn't put in another stellar performance here.
CAM: Joe Willock
There will be calls for new man Matias Fernandez-Pardo to come straight into the starting XI ahead of Willock, but the Belgian hasn't played a game of football since May 18th after missing all of Lille's preseason games and will need time to get up to speed.
For that reason a swap of that nature makes no sense, especially when Willock has had a more than solid start to the season.
RW: Anthony Elanga
There has been speculation that Elanga may be injured for tomorrow's clash after he left the pitch against Spurs and apparently complained about hamstring troubles.
If that is true it could well be Jacob Murphy who starts here, but right now the claims of an Elanga injury are unsubstantiated and we have ti assume he is fit - hence why I still have him starting tomorrow.
ST: Wissa
Whether Fernandez-Pardo was going to be playing or not, Wissa would still be on the team sheet in some capacity given how he has started this season.
The forward picked up a man of the match award against Liverpool and then scored his first of the season against Spurs - I expect that excellent start to continue here.
LW: Harvey Barnes
It seems like Bazoumana Toure is seen as the second choice option for now, with Harvey Barnes having started the first two games.
Whilst Barnes hasn't had a scintillating impact on games, his goal scoring prowess as a winger can't be underestimated and another start here would make sense.
