Newcastle United have to make some big moves this summer as we prepare for a massive 2025/26 season.

After winning the Carabao Cup last season, our first major trophy in 70 years and securing a Champions League spot by finishing 5th in the Premier League, we must aim even higher.

That means Eddie Howe and his staff should be looking at ways to strengthen the squad even more.

One area that might need fresh faces is up front. Alexander Isak is expected to stay despite interest from top clubs, but with Callum Wilson’s will leave as a free agent.

Newcastle must add another striker who can step in when needed. We cannot put so much pressure on Alexander Isak solely. We need a proper deputy to step in when required.

With Europe, domestic competitions, and a growing reputation to protect, the team needs players who can come in and perform straight away.

Now, a new name has popped up on the radar.

Newcastle United plot shock move for €52m Italian striker

According to Calciomercato, Newcastle have shown interest in Moise Kean, who is currently playing for Fiorentina in Serie A.

Kean is no stranger to the Premier League. He had a short spell at Everton, but things didn’t really work out.

Since then, he’s rebuilt his confidence in Italy and has become a more complete player. Strong, quick, and still only 25, he could be a smart option for Newcastle.

The only problem is Fiorentina reportedly want €52 million to let the Italian striker go.

That’s a big fee, especially for someone who may not be a guaranteed starter. Newcastle will have to think carefully before making such a move.

But if they believe Moise Kean fits into Howe’s system and long-term plans, this could be one to watch.
