Newcastle United make contact for €60m Chelsea forward
According to CaughtOffside, Newcastle have made contact with Chelsea over a potential deal for Noni Madueke.
The 23-year-old winger has performed brilliant at times at Stamford Bridge which had helped him to make his debut for England.
However, he hasn't quite nailed down a starting role under the current manager, which has opened the door for other clubs to ask questions.
Chelsea reportedly value Madueke at around €60 million, but Newcastle believe a fair price would be closer to €40-42 million.
Talks haven’t started formally, but the Magpies have asked for information on his situation.
It’s unclear if Chelsea would sell, but if Madueke wants more minutes, a move to Tyneside with Champions League football on offer could be a tempting next step in his career.
For Newcastle, Noni Madueke would be a bold and ambitious signing. And while nothing is close yet, the interest is very real.
