Newcastle United are preparing for another big summer in the transfer market. With European football back at St James’ Park next season, the club is looking to bring in the right players to push on even further.

One area Eddie Howe will want to strengthen is the forward line. Alexander Isak has been brilliant, but the Magpies need more firepower if they want to compete on multiple fronts. Callum Wilson could be on his way out, and with the fixture list expected to be even busier, extra depth up top is now a must.

The club is expected to spend smartly, going for players who are not only talented but also hungry to prove themselves. That’s exactly the profile of the latest name linked with a move to Tyneside.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle are showing interest in Bayer Leverkusen striker Victor Boniface. The 24-year-old forward is said to be open to leaving the Bundesliga champions if the right offer comes in.

Boniface had a strong campaign in Germany, scoring 11 goals and adding two assists across all competitions. He’s quick, powerful, and knows how to finish, a player who could offer something different from Isak while also easing the pressure on the Swedish star.

His current value is around €40 million, and with a collapsed move to Saudi Arabia behind him, it looks like Europe will remain his next destination.

Newcastle have the budget and the project to tempt a striker like Boniface. Playing in the Champions League, pushing for more trophies, and being part of a growing squad — all of that could appeal to the Nigerian forward.

It’s early days, but this is definitely one to watch.
