West Ham joins the race to sign Newcastle target in January
Paris Saint-Germain are considering loaning out Randal Kolo Muani in the January transfer window. Newcastle United and West Ham are reportedly interested in signing the French forward.
Kolo Muani has struggled for form since joining PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt. PSG signed him for €95 million after his strong performances in Germany and at the 2022 World Cup. However, his time in Paris has not gone as planned.
Newcastle transfer news - Newcastle eye Kolo Muani
Sources of FootballTransfers suggest Newcastle would welcome Kolo Muani on loan if terms are favourable. The club value his ability to play in multiple attacking positions.
While Kolo Muani is an option, Newcastle are more focused on signing Bryan Mbeumo. The Brentford star has had an excellent start to the season. However, a fee exceeding €60 million for Mbeumo could limit Newcastle's budget for future transfers.

Kolo Muani could provide vital depth for Newcastle, especially if Alexander Isak gets injured. The club currently rely on Callum Wilson and William Osula. Wilson’s frequent injuries and Osula’s lack of experience make this a concern.
West Ham are also struggling to score this season. Their three senior strikers, Michail Antonio, Danny Ings, and Niclas Fullkrug, have not scored in the Premier League. Jarrod Bowen, with three goals, is their current top scorer.
The London club are interested in Kolo Muani. However, his high wages could be a problem for West Ham. It is also unclear if Kolo Muani would join a team performing poorly in the league.

Kolo Muani contributed to goals far more consistently during his time in Germany. At Eintracht Frankfurt, he averaged 0.86 goal contributions per game. At PSG, this has dropped to just 0.32 contributions per game.
Kolo Muani could be a valuable addition for Newcastle or West Ham. Both clubs need attacking reinforcements, but PSG’s terms and the player’s preferences will determine his next move. Newcastle’s stronger interest in Bryan Mbeumo could complicate a deal, but Kolo Muani remains a capable alternative.
