The latest Newcastle transfer news - Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Richarlison from Tottenham Hotspur to strengthen their attack.

Alexander Isak is Newcastle’s main striker. However, the club lacks depth in that position. At 32 years old, Callum Wilson may not play at the top level for much longer as he has been injured for a long time.

Eddie Howe needs more reliable attacking options. Adding a new striker in January or the summer is essential. Richarlison has emerged as a possible target for the Magpies.

According to reports (via TBR Football) Richarlison is willing to leave Tottenham. Journalist Ben Jacobs confirmed Newcastle’s interest in the striker. However, the price is a big issue in the potential deal.

Jacobs explained that Tottenham are asking for £60 million to sell Richarlison. Newcastle believe this amount is too high. They value the player at around £40 million to £45 million instead.

No deal has been agreed yet. Negotiations could continue if both clubs find a middle ground on the price.

Richarlison has Premier League experience and could fit well into Newcastle’s team. He has already played with Joelinton and Bruno Guimaraes for Brazil. This familiarity might help him settle quickly at St James’ Park.

Richarlison also played with Anthony Gordon at Everton. Reuniting with Gordon could benefit Newcastle, but their partnership at Everton was not always successful.

The two players only assisted each other twice in 39 games. Everton often lost when both were on the pitch together. Eddie Howe must carefully plan how to use them if they reunite at Newcastle.

Signing Richarlison would make sense for Newcastle. However, the price remains a stumbling block. Newcastle will need to negotiate a fair deal with Tottenham. If successful, Richarlison could become an important player for the Magpies in the coming seasons.
