Newcastle are open to selling star player in January

As per the latest Newcastle news, the Magpies are open to selling Kieran Trippier during the January transfer window. The experienced right-back has been a key player for the Magpies in recent seasons but has struggled for game time this term.

According to Newcastle transfer news and reports on Football Insider, Newcastle have informed agents about Trippier’s availability. However, it is not yet clear which clubs might be interested in signing him.

Trippier joined Newcastle as a marquee signing and made an immediate impact. Last season, he provided 10 assists in the Premier League. His attacking contributions and defensive reliability made him one of the team’s most important players.

This season, however, Trippier has played only six league matches, starting just three of them. Injuries have limited his appearances, and competition from Tino Livramento has further reduced his playing time.

Reports suggest Newcastle are now open to parting ways with the 33-year-old. Football Insider claims that agents have been alerted about Trippier’s availability in the upcoming transfer window.

Eddie Howe had previously denied any intention to sell Trippier. In September, reports linked the right-back with a move to Fenerbahce. Howe publicly dismissed those rumours, stating Trippier remained an important player for the club.

However, Newcastle’s stance seems to have changed. Livramento has impressed this season and is now seen as the first-choice right-back. Trippier has managed just 287 Premier League minutes this term, raising questions about his future at St James’ Park.
