Newcastle United could be in for another busy transfer window but this time, it’s not about who they’re signing. It’s about who might leave.

With Eddie Howe building a young, exciting squad, it’s no surprise that some of his top players are attracting interest from other big clubs.

And now, it looks like one of Newcastle’s most important attackers is on the radar of a Premier League rival.

According to a report from TBR Football, Liverpool are looking to add more firepower to their attack this summer.

They’re already working on a deal for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz, but their plans don’t stop there.

Liverpool’s focus has now shifted to another forward, one with Premier League experience, blistering pace, and the ability to change a game in an instant. That player is Anthony Gordon.

Yes, the former Everton man, now a fan favourite at St James’ Park, is being looked at as a possible replacement for Luis Diaz, who could be on his way to Barcelona.

Gordon has been outstanding this season. He’s formed a strong connection with Alexander Isak and has been one of Newcastle’s most consistent threats in the final third.

He doesn’t just score; he creates, presses, and works hard for the team.

Newcastle were once open to the idea of selling Anthony Gordon due to financial pressures, but after offloading other players, they managed to keep hold of the 23-year-old.

Now, though, Liverpool are expected to return with serious interest. And with a potential fee of over £75 million being talked about, the Magpies may have a tough decision to make.

Eddie Howe would be reluctant to lose one of his top performers, especially ahead of a crucial season. But if Liverpool come calling with the right offer, this one could be hard to ignore.
