Although nothing official has been announced, Alexander Isak has options if he decides to transfer in the summer window. Premier League sides like Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with the Swedish international. However out these clubs, Liverpool seems to be Isak’s most probable transfer destination.
Multiple sources have recently indicated that Isak would prefer to join the Reds in case he leaves. Liverpool have just signed highly talented youngster Florian Wirtz, who operates in the attacking midfield area of the pitch. This is a big signing for the club and will cost them a lot of salary cap space. But with the likely exits of Darwin Nunez and Luis Diaz, and the unfortunate passing of Diogo Jota, Liverpool needs someone up front who can finish the chances consistently, unlike Darwin Nunez. Isak could be the answer to the Red’s problem.
On his own, Isak scored 23 out of the total of 68 goals (33.4%) in the Premier League this season for Newcastle United. Many highlights reflect his abilities to score from both on the ground and in the air. He has also scored while stumbling or while shaking off defenders, reflecting his dribbling ability and physicality. He is in many ways a complete striker. Liverpool follows a similar formation like the Magpies which could be a factor for Isak while making a decision regarding his next club.
Nevertheless, these are just speculations and Isak could continue his stay at Newcastle where he has enjoyed great success since his arrival. He is loved by the fans and one of the stars in the team.
In the last season, the Magpies have secured a Champions League spot once again after finishing fifth in the Premier League. The club have also won a major trophy after 56 years, as they lifted the League Cup, beating Manchester City in the final. So, the club have an exciting season coming up, and we hope that Isak will be a part of it.
