Newcastle United are heading into the summer with some big decisions to make up front.

Callum Wilson looks set to leave when his contract runs out, and right now, the club has no plans to keep him.

That means there’s a spot open for a new striker and it’s one that Eddie Howe will want to fill quickly.

With European football back on the cards and the need to compete in several competitions, Newcastle need someone who can support Alexander Isak and offer a strong backup option, if not a direct challenger.

That search is already underway. And it seems the club are now being offered forwards from elsewhere, especially players looking for a fresh start.

One name has come up recently, and it’s a striker with Premier League experience. But it’s not all good news.

According to The Chronicle, Newcastle are expected to be offered the chance to sign Armando Broja from Chelsea this summer.

The 23-year-old has had a tough couple of seasons, struggling with injuries and limited minutes during his loan spell at Everton.

Chelsea are reportedly hoping to sell Armando Broja for around £30 million. But let’s be honest, that’s a huge fee for someone who’s barely played and hasn’t quite found form yet.

Newcastle are being smart with their money. Spending big on a player with fitness issues doesn’t seem like the kind of move the club will make, especially with so many key areas to strengthen.

Broja might still be one to watch if the price drops, but for now, this looks like a move the club will pass on.
