Ahead of the January transfer window, Eddie Howe and Newcastle are monitoring the progress of a sensational Brazilian 23-year-old from La Liga.
Newcastle United are looking forward to the January transfer window. Like never before, the Magpies need to invest heavily into the squad, as a chain of injuries has proven how depleted the squad is. Not necessarily looking to upgrade the squad, Eddie Howe will want to bring some power in numbers and cover the gaps left by long-term injuries and suspensions.
Thinking about it, there is one position which you would think doesn’t need to be strengthened and that is the left-winger spot. Although Harvey Barnes is injured long-term, Anthony Gordon does a great job at covering on this side and doesn’t look to pick up fatigue any time soon, since his fitness levels are immaculate for a player who works that hard.
Newcastle closely monitor 23-year-old – MORE Brazilian firepower?!
However, Howe will learn from his mistakes and want to strengthen in this position when others are seen to. According to a report by Todo Fichajes, Newcastle are closely monitoring the progress of Atletico Madrid sensation Samuel Lino.
The 23-year-old Brazilian winger is in exceptional form and showcases an excellent combination of speed and intelligence – Much like Anthony Gordon. A player who would greatly improve the options at left-wing and boasts Champions League experience which would help Howe should he progress to the knockout stages of the competition.
I would be in favour of signing Lino since he would add to our attacking firepower and combine well with fellow Brazilian’s Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton.
Do you think Newcastle should sign Samuel Lino from Atletico Madrid?
