Ahead of the important Champions League fixture PSG vs Newcastle, Eddie Howe has received a boost with the Parisians suffering a double injury blow.

Newcastle need all the help they can get with their ongoing injury crisis. Unfortunately, there’s no way that they can speed up the recovery of their players, they just need to hope that more don’t occur and it’s also an assurance when they aren’t the only side with bad luck.

Indeed, next week’s competitors Paris Saint-Germain are also experiencing their own bad luck on the injury front. As the Parisians prepare to host Newcastle in a must-win game for both sides, they have suffered two unfortunate injury setbacks.

PSG vs Newcastle: Boost for Eddie Howe as Parisians suffer double injury blow

According to the Shields Gazette, the 17-year-old Warren Zaire-Emery, who assisted PSG’s only goal in their 4-1 defeat at St James’ Park, has become injured and won’t return this year. Furthermore, the report claims that Brazil defender Marquinhos faces a race against time to be fit for this match, after he was withdrawn in the Argentina vs Brazil game, where Joelinton picked up a red card.

These are two very important players to PSG and both would have certainly played in some capacity had they not picked up these unfortunate injuries. Of course, we wish them a speedy recovery, but we’d also be lying if we said that Marquinhos not being fit to face us didn’t come as a big boost.
