Newcastle “don’t trust” Alexander Isak – Eddie Howe looks for replacement
By Kian Long
Newcastle United are considering their attacking options and according to a journalist, they “don’t trust” Alexander Isak so Eddie Howe will seek a replacement.
The January transfer window is just around the corner. I know we don’t want to think about that just yet because Christmas isn’t even here yet but let’s be real, Eddie Howe needs to make some serious reinforcements in the transfer market.
Through no fault of his own, he has been left with a depleted squad due to the injury crisis with the midfield and defence proving to be his biggest problems. Saying that, I wouldn’t put it past the board to seek a new striker, since this has been circulating in the rumour mill of late.

Newcastle “don’t trust” Alexander Isak – Eddie Howe looks for replacement
According to a new claim by journalist Dean Jones (via TBR Football), Newcastle “don’t trust” Alexander Isak and his ability to stay fit throughout an entire season. Therefore, it’s likely they will look to bring in a backup option in the January transfer window.
I hate to admit it, but it is true. Unfortunately for us, we have two great striker options who never seem to stay fit. Both the Callum Wilson injury history and Alexander Isak injury history don’t make for good viewing, but it’s important that this is considered and addressed by the Newcastle board, which looks to be the case.
To make it clear, I have absolutely no issue with the ability of Callum Wilson or Alexander Isak. When they’re fit, they’re probably the best strike partnership in the Premier League. However, the issue is that they are rarely fit.
Do you think Newcastle should sign an Alexander Isak replacement?
