Newcastle injury news – Sean Longstaff will be out for one game

According to a promising report by Newcastle World, Sean Longstaff is set to miss one game of action for Newcastle, after the midfielder who has been heavily used by Eddie Howe this season, looked to pick up a frightening injury against Bournemouth.

It’s thought that Longstaff will return in time to face PSG in our important Champions League fixture against PSG, which is certainly a big boost for Eddie Howe. However, it does mean that he’s likely to be ruled out against Chelsea at the weekend.

Newcastle injury news – Alexander Isak returns for Chelsea game

There is good news for Eddie Howe ahead of Newcastle vs Chelsea, though. We reported earlier on today that both Alexander Isak and Miguel Almiron are thought to be available for this match. Considering the injury to Callum Wilson, this is big news for Eddie Howe and it’s more than likely that both players will start against Chelsea.

Out of the two games with a quick turnaround, I imagine that Eddie Howe is going to pay most attention to the PSG match in the Champions League. Unfortunately, we have to accept the reality of squad rotation and if it does come down to resting an important player in one match, it is likely to be the Chelsea match this weekend.
