Schar has been an important player for us this season, particularly since the Sven Botman injury. Putting in some exceptional performances, including that display against PSG at St James Park, Eddie Howe will hope he comes home from the international break unharmed.
He will represent Switzerland, as he has done so often since he is a real fan favourite in his home country. Switzerland will actually play three matches in their EURO 2024 qualification campaign, those three fixtures against Israel, Kosovo and Romania.
Slovakia – Martin Dubravka
One of two Newcastle goalkeepers to feature in the international break, Dubravka will be grateful get some minutes for Slovakia since he doesn’t get many.
