Newcastle players in the England squad for November international break

Let’s be honest – This one’s not much of a surprise. Even Gareth Southgate, who has his favourites and none of which include Newcastle players, can see that Trippier is the best English full-back. It works in his favour that he can play as a left-back and a right-back too.

For England, Kieran Trippier has picked up 45 senior caps, so he is an established member of Gareth Southgate’s crop of players. Having shared some great moments with the England international team, including that incredible free-kick which made us all believe against Croatia, he will hope to provide some magical moments for his country.
From Newcastle’s perspective, Eddie Howe will hope that Trippier comes back from the international break injury free. After all, he’s an important member of our squad too – Not just England. Given the injury crisis at St James Park which involves a few defenders, Trippier’s services at left-back are required.
