Newcastle player ratings vs Arsenal: Anthony Gordon shines in an Eddie Howe tactical masterclass

CM: Sean Longstaff (5/10) – It is evident that Sean Longstaff has a big heart and he is ready to give everything for the badge. However, he needs to pick up players when they are free from the midfield. He had multiple chances of doing that which could have cause havoc in the Arsenal backline. Overall, it was a decent outing for him.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes (7/10) – The battle that everyone wanted to see was Declan Rice vs Bruno Guimaraes. The talisman of the Magpies matched Arsenal’s expensive signing in every aspect. In the second half as well, Bruno made his presence felt as he went after Jorginho at times. Sadly, he got a yellow in this game. So, he will miss the next game for the Magpies. Overall, it was a decent outing for Newcastle’s Brazilian maestro.

CM: Joelinton (6/10) – It wasn’t the best performance from Joelinton in a Newcastle shirt. However, he made his presence felt in this game. He played a very important role enabling Anthony Gordon to score that very important goal.
