Tino Livramento continues to impress

One fringe player who is spoken about a lot by Newcastle fans is Tino Livramento, and understandably so. Whenever he’s given the chance to impress, he more often than not impresses.

Yesterday was no exception. Following his phenomenal display last time out in the competition against City, Tino put in another exceptional display yesterday. Not only was he defensively solid and aided the resilience against the United press (albeit their attack was not up for it on the night).

The highlight of his performance was his great individual run, where he ran what felt like the length of the pitch to assist the lay it on a plate for the substitute Almiron.

I know it’s difficult to find a route for Tino in the starting eleven, given our pretty solid defence when it’s at full strength. However, the more he puts in performances like this, the more we look to Howe to find excuses to play him. A nice problem to have, for sure.
