As Eddie Howe prepares to host the Premier League fixture Newcastle vs Arsenal, here’s the Newcastle predicted lineup as they seek a tough win.

In the last few seasons, it’s impossible to label Newcastle as underdogs. If they are underdogs, then they’re very strong underdogs who have the capability to beat anyone. However, when you face this Arsenal side managed by Mikel Arteta, it’s always difficult to predict.

That said, Eddie Howe will field his strongest possible lineup, in the hopes of getting a valuable win at home to boost his chances of a top four finish.

Newcastle vs Arsenal: Eddie Howe’s predicted lineup

Here’s the Newcastle vs Arsenal predicted lineup…

GK: Nick Pope. He was rested in the recent match against Man United but he’ll play this one. He’s hit a good run of form recently, let’s just hope he doesn’t make any silly mistakes against this pressing Arsenal side.

RB: Kieran Trippier. Came on as a sub in midweek but he’s fresh to play in this match. He’ll come up against Gabriel Martinelli, so there’s no better player for Newcastle to deal with his dribbling.

CB: Jamaal Lascelles. The captain was rested in midweek and given his good form at the back, he will be called upon this weekend to fill the Sven Botman void, of which it’s a race against time.

CB: Fabian Schar. Again, Schar was rested in midweek with this fixture in mind. He’ll be at his best in this match.

LB: Dan Burn. There’s a case to be made for Tino to start after his fine displays, but Howe will stick with what he knows best in this fixture.
