Newcastle predicted lineup vs Man United – EFL Cup revenge for Howe
By Kian Long
CM: Sean Longstaff. I’ve been loving the Longstaff appearances of late and he’s cemented himself in this Newcastle team. Given the midfield problems faced by Eddie Howe this season, Longstaff has become a mainstay and a real diamond in the rough, pivotal to the change in form.
CM: Lewis Miley. Retaining his place in the starting XI which faced Man City, the youngster Lewis Miley can remind Eddie Howe why he deserves a place. Particularly given Sandro Tonali’s suspension, Miley could play a big part between now and January, so giving him more minutes against a big team will be crucial.
CM: Joelinton. He provided the assist in the Magpies’ win over Man City in this competition and he’ll hope to do the same against the red side of Manchester. Mr Versatile’s return from injury has been a big boost, but he may be required more in the midfield given injuries and suspensions.
