RW – Miguel Almiron: Opened the scoring in the last Champions League triumph. Given that he was rested at the weekend. Howe certainly has him in mind for this game. Although, Murphy did pretty well in his absence, so there’s a chance for some Murphy madness from the bench.

CF – Alexander Isak: Again, Isak was on the bench at the weekend, meaning that Howe likely had him in contention for this match. Isak played well to link-up attacking movements against PSG, a trait he’ll likely have to adopt again on Wednesday night.

LW – Anthony Gordon: Everybody’s favourite workhorse. The Englishman who has become a fan favourite during his time at St James Park will look to torment the Dortmund backline with his energy levels. Certainly, he’ll start on Wednesday.

Newcastle predicted lineup vs Dortmund: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Lascelles (c), Burn; Longstaff, Bruno, Joelinton; Almiron, Gordon, Isak
