Newcastle United defence

Right-back: Kieran Trippier

Kieran Trippier has been solid for Newcastle this season. His performances against some of the biggest teams in Europe have left a mark in Newcastle fans’ hearts. Thus, Kieran Trippier is a definite starter for Newcastle in this game.

Centre-back: Jamal Lascelles

Jamal Lascelles is struggling to have a good season although he is the captain of the Magpies. As Botman is injured, you can rest assured Jamal Lascelles will be starting in the centre-back for Newcastle United in this game against Crystal Palace.

Centre-back: Fabian Schar

Partnering Lascelles in the centre-back position is the Swiss juggernaut of the Tyneside, Fabian Schar. No one can argue that Schar has looked solid this season in the Premier League. Therefore, having him on the team will be a no-brainer for Eddie Howe.

Left-back: Dan Burn

Dan Burn as the left-back for Newcastle has looked great. So, there is no doubt that Eddie Howe will be looking to start him in the left-back position. Burn will have the tough job of handling Jordan Ayew who of Crystal Palace who will look to cause trouble in the backline of the Magpies.
