In today’s Newcastle transfer news – Eddie Howe has ruled out the sale of Jamaal Lascelles in January, an update on Gabri Veiga & much more.

Newcastle transfer news – Eddie Howe will not sell Jamaal Lascelles in January

Jamaal Lascelles is a player who has found his way into the Newcastle starting lineup recently. Admittedly, the captain is helped by the recent Sven Botman injury, but he’s done nothing to tarnish his reputation. If anything, he’s proven to Eddie Howe that he should in contention to start more often.

According to a report from NUFC News, Newcastle have no plans to sell Jamaal Lascelles in January, despite what some speculation may suggest. The report claims that after Lascelles has found his way into the starting XI, the club captain will “absolutely not be sold in January”.

Newcastle transfer news – Gabri Veiga doesn’t regret not joining Newcastle

Gabri Veiga seems like a blast from the past, but there was a point in the summer where he looked destined to sign for St James Park. In the end, though, he joined Allan Saint-Maximin in Saudi Arabia.

Reflecting on the interest from Eddie Howe, Veiga has claimed he has no regrets to not take up the offer and claims he’s “100% proud” to be playing in the Saudi Pro League instead of Newcastle.

A massive PR move, in my opinion.

Newcastle transfer news – Goncalo Inacio concerns are confronted

Leonel Pontes, a former coach of Goncalo Inacio, has hit out at Newcastle’s concerns about the player. Inacio has a £52m release clause, meaning Eddie Howe could sign him easily but there were doubts about his ability and experience.

Pontes, though, has hit out at those concerns, claiming he was a mainstay in the youth setup and got consistent game time with the first team, along with his thriving international career.

Bit weird that they’re so desperate to sell, but maybe I’m old fashioned.
