RW: Miguel Almiron. There’s always a case to start Jacob Murphy, but Miguel Almiron offers more from a defensive standpoint. Given that he was taken off in mid week when the game was set and done, I assume Howe has him in mind to start this game.

CF: Callum Wilson. If Wilson is fit, then he should start in this game. Alexander Isak is class, but he looks like he needs a rest after his work against PSG in midweek. He did pick up a blow to the head in that match, but he played on so it looks like he will be fine. Still, Wilson should be given a shot as a starter since he’s been exceptional from the bench.

LW: Anthony Gordon. What an exceptional player Gordon has blossomed into this season. Of course, he’s not everybody’s cup of tea but nobody can deny the work rate he puts in on a consistent basis. With that in mind, he should certainly start in this match.

Newcastle predicted lineup vs West Ham: Pope; Trippier, Schar, Lascelles, Burn; Longstaff, Tonali, Guimaraes; Almiron, Gordon, Wilson
