Dan Burn injury history and updates

Dan Burn concussion injury, August 2022

The first injury which was picked up by Dan Burn at Newcastle wasn’t necessarily an injury through any fault of his own. Instead, the defender became concussed at the beginning of the 2022/23 season.

Subbed off in the last minute of a 3-3 draw with Manchester City, it didn’t look promising for Dan Burn. It’s never nice to see a footballer concussed, particularly a player who is as important as Burn is to Newcastle.

Ultimately, Burn wasn’t out for long as he only ended up missing one match and that was an EFL Cup fixture against Tranmere Rovers. Burn started the next Premier League fixture against Wolves before being subbed off in the 65th minute. It was a game which finished 1-1, only thanks to a last minute equaliser from Allan Saint-Maximin of all people.
