Newcastle United will be taking on PSG at St. James’ Park in a crunch game in the Champions League. So, here is the Newcastle predicted lineup vs PSG.

Newcastle went home from San Siro with a point against Milan. And, that is a positive result because the Magpies were playing away from home. However, if Newcastle United wants to qualify for the next round in this competition, they have to make sure they get the maximum number of points from the games they will play at St. James’ Park. The first visitor at St. James’ Park, when the Champions League football returns, will be the Parisians. So, how will Eddie Howe set up Newcastle in this all-important home Champions League game? Here is the Newcastle predicted lineup vs PSG.

So, let’s begin this discussion on the Newcastle United predicted lineup against PSG in the Champions League with the formation of Eddie Howe which will be the standard 4-3-3 that he has played regularly. In the goal, Home will trust the ever-dependable Nick Pope to deliver the goods as he did at Milan.

In the defence, Kieran Trippier will play as the right-back. He was sensational at San Siro and will retain his place. Fabian Schar will retain his place as the centre-back. However, Botman is injured and thus, he will make way for Jamaal Lascelles who is yet to perform at his best. Eddie Howe will depend on Dan Burn to put a shift in as the left-back.

For the midfield, Eddie Howe will look to keep the same midfield that he fielded against Burnley in the Premier League. Sean Longstaff will partner Bruno Guimaraes, who was fantastic in that Premier League game, and Elliot Anderson is a three-man midfield. Joelinton is expected to miss this game due to an injury.

For the forward line, Anthony Gordon will start on the left as it is a no-brainer. For the right, going with Miguel Almiron will be a better choice for Howe as he provides more than Murphy defensively. Also, Trippier will need Almiron because they need to stop Mbappe and for that, they have a serious job ahead on the left flank. Wilson is injured and thus, Alexander Isak is bound to start as the centre forward for the Magpies.
