Eddie Howe plots three HUGE contract extensions at Newcastle

Good afternoon, Newcastle fans – And it really is a good afternoon. Following the high spirits recently, Eddie Howe plans to raise them even more.

Within the space of a week, Newcastle United really turned around their fortunes. After starting the season off poorly, the man in charge Eddie Howe has achieved some remarkable feats of late. Starting with the trip to AC Milan where the Geordies picked up a draw, it was followed up by a 8-0 thrashing of Sheffield United away from home. Then, most recently, we knocked out the treble winners Manchester City from the Carabao Cup.

Given the club is really finding its feet after an awaited period, Eddie Howe wants to solidify this change of fortunes for the long-term. According to a report from The i, Newcastle United are making great progress in their talks to extend the contract of midfield star Joelinton. Further, they’re also keen to tie down defender Sven Botman to a new deal to deter interest from PSG.

The third player who Newcastle would like to extend the current deal of is Bruno Guimaraes, as it was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano that an agreement had been reached between the player and the club.

All in all, we could see three key contract extensions all wrapped up. Not bad, eh?

Joelinton has recently returned from injury and has played excellently well amid his return, picking up the assist against Newcastle. Bruno came on as a sub and changed the game, so that midfield pairing works well. Botman is Botman – We all know about his insane defensive abilities. Tying down the trio’s future is key to the long-term health of the club.
