Bruno Guimaraes has agreed to extend his contract at Newcastle United. Fabrizio Romano provided an update when Bruno will sign his new contract.

One of the best signings for Newcastle in their recent history has to be Bruno Guimaraes. He had brought flair to Newcastle’s game. However, playing a defensive midfielder, according to some fans of the Magpies, is liming his game. Yet, he is still proving to be a talismanic figure at the Tyneside propelling them to the Champions League this season. That is why fans were hoping that he would sign a new contract and extend his stay with the Magpies. Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano informed fans a few days ago that the Brazilian has agreed to sign a new deal with Newcastle. He gave his trademark ‘here we go’ to this deal.

After that, fans wanted to see Bruno sign his new deal. However, he is yet to sign the deal and Newcastle fans started worrying as to when he would sign the deal. So, the man himself, Fabrizio Romano, gave an update as to when fans can expect Bruno Guimaraes to sign his new contract. Romano confirmed that ‘it’s just matter of days’ before he will put pen to paper and become a Newcastle player till 2028. He also has a release clause in his contract in his contract ‘in the region of £100m’. It shows how much the Magpies value their talisman.


Bruno Guimaraes signing the new contract will be something the fans are eagerly waiting for. Also, this will ensure that Eddie Howe can build his team around the Brazilian star. Newcastle are also looking to extend the contract of some of their main players. Therefore, the Newcastle boss is creating a team that will play a major role in European football for some years now.
