Still, Newcastle managed to get the job done through an Isak goal in the 53rd minute of the game. So, here are Newcastle player ratings from their 1-0 win over Manchester City.

Tino Livramento (8/10) impressed all in his debut as he handled the right-hand side both defensively and going forward very nicely. Jamaal Lascelles (7/10) showed that he can be good aerially. Paul Dummett’s (7.5/10) tackle to Grealish was one of the moments in that match. For Matt Targett (6/10), it was an average day as he struggled in the first half but got better in the second.

In the midfield, Sandro Tonali (5/10) was disappointing as he lost possession often. Lewis Miley (4/10) struggled in the midfield and was taken off in the first half. Lewis Hall (4/10) was another disappointment in this game as he looked lost on the pitch on his full debut.
