Wilson's most recent injury is a calf injury which ruled him out of contention just before the turn of the new year. Eddie Howe expects him to miss around two weeks of action.

The same injury which plagued Wilson at the beginning of the 2023/24 season has haunted him again. In fact, this injury was even worse, as Wilson was out injured for exactly one month, missing six games for Newcastle. Thankfully, he returned in the thick of the busy December period.

Callum Wilson suffered from a hamstring injury which ruled him out of the Premier League fixture against Burnley in September 2023. However, with the important midweek fixture which follows against Paris Saint-Germain, he is “expected” to return in time for this match.
October 4th, 2023 – Just a few hours before the game vs PSG kicks off, it has been confirmed by Chronicle Live that Callum Wilson will not play a part in this match, due to his ongoing hamstring injury.

Wilson started the 2022-23 Premier League season well, scoring two goals in his opening three games. This included a goal against the champions Manchester City.
However, he unfortunately picked up a hamstring injury, which ultimately resulted in the striker missing seven games. Thankfully, though, he returned from injury to cover for new signing Alexander Isak, who also picked up an injury in September 2022. Wilson marked his comeback with a goal against Fulham.

This one was a serious injury. Midway through the 2021-2022 season, Callum Wilson suffered an unfortunate calf injury which saw him miss four months – a large chunk of the season.
Reported by The Athletic at the time of his injury, Wilson’s sustained period out of the squad put a risk on him to be replaced in the transfer window. It was an unfortunate time for Newcastle since Alan Saint-Maximin suffered an injury around the same time.
His return was a sub appearance against Man City in May 2022, which was a 5-0 battering. In the last game of the season, though, Wilson scored a fantastic brace against Burnley. Things were looking up.

Unfortunately, the Callum Wilson injury curse continued. Shortly after returning from his recent hamstring injury, Wilson picked up another injury towards the end of the season. He picked up the injury shortly after scoring against Southampton.
Ultimately, the third hamstring injury would rule Wilson out of contention for the remainder of the season, which ended late due to the COVID-19 break.

The hamstring injury had been a problem which persisted for Wilson all season. Indeed, the English striker had suffered his second consecutive hamstring injury in May, which saw him ruled out for just over two weeks.

Wilson picked up a hamstring injury in February 2021 which saw him ruled out of action for ten games. It was thought to be an extension of a previous hamstring injury he had that season, but it only ruled him for one match that time. It would be the beginning of a chain of hamstring problems for Wilson.
