Midfield

I think Lewis Miley comes in to start. Rumoured to be on the bench against Brentford and wasn’t. This could open the door for a first appearance of the season and what a special moment it would be to have it happen in the Champions League. A young player who can do it all should be given the chance to prove it.

Sandro Tonali steps back into the team. The injury may not be as bad as first thought. Sandro was on the bench against Brentford and warming up at times. He could be okay to make a return to the San Siro, something I am sure we will have confirmation of in Eddie Howes’s press conference before the game.

Bruno is the only midfielder to keep his place. If Joelinton and Joe Willock weren’t both injured I would have started one and moved Miley to the 6 role. Bruno is the only player we have who can play that role effectively so keeps his place for this game.
