Loris Karius could move to Serie A from Newcastle United. After the birth of his daughter, he would like to switch to Italy from the Premier League.

Loris Karius has been having a quiet time at Newcastle United since Nick Pope arrived. Even Martin Dubravka is ahead of him in the pecking orders. So, Karius is looking for a move away from Tyneside. He wants to play in the Serie A. The main reason for that is not the lack of game time for the German goalkeeper. He wants to move because of the birth of his first child. Karius knows the city of Milan very well because his partner Diletta Leotta who is an Italian TV presenter, lives in that city. They welcomed Aria, their daughter, into this world recently. The Magpies goalkeeper has expressed an issue with the distance from his daughter recently.

When he was asked about this, Loris told Corriere del Sella;

"“Most of the time we are distant, of course. We talk a lot on the phone, we make video calls with FaceTime. Diletta comes to visit me as soon as she can, but it’s not easy.”"

The Magpies goalkeeper was also asked about his desire to move to Italy and he replied;

"“It is a possible solution, which I consider. It could happen in the future.”"

He further went on to say;

"“As a child I followed Inter, Milan and Juventus matches on TV. But I don’t want to move only based on Aria and Diletta. I’m waiting for a good job opportunity.”"

Newcastle has a very good group of goalkeepers in their squad with the likes of Nick Pope, Martin Dubravka, and Loris Karius. So, the club won’t be declining any move to Serie A if any good offer comes for the German goalkeeper.

Do you think Serie A would be a good move for Loris Karius?
