Newcastle United are eyeing a move for a £120m young striker next summer

Newcastle United want to sign Evan Ferguson. The Brighton striker has caught the eyes of many top English clubs. Newcastle might have to pay £120m for him.

Evan Ferguson is undoubtedly one of the most talented and up-and-coming strikers in the footballing world. He is only 18 but has made giant strides in the top flight of English football. So, many clubs are after him as they believe he has a bright future ahead of him away from Brighton. However, the Irish striker has penned a new deal with Brighton which will make him expensive. Now, Manchester United were interested in signing him this summer but for his huge price tag, they couldn’t get him. However, reports are there that they will renew their interest in the Brighton forward man. Also, there are reports that Eddie Howe admires Ferguson and he might move to sign the young forward for Newcastle United which will be a fantastic move for the club.

Newcastle United want Evan Ferguson and Kamaldeen Sulemana

There is no doubt that Eddie Howe’s team needs serious recruitment in the forward line. However, fans have seen that Newcastle’s transfer policy is buying young players that Eddie Howe can nurture. That is why it is possible that Newcastle United might go for Evan Ferguson. Even Newcastle legend Alan Shearer admires Ferguson as he said in an interview with The Athletic;

"‘What do I love about him? Everything’"

Apart from Ferguson, Newcastle want to sign Kamaldeen Sulemana from Southampton next summer to bolster their right wing. Sulemana has impressed many people during his time at the Saints. So, he could be a target for Newcastle United as well in the summer transfer window.
