Newcastle United has confirmed their 25-man Premier League squad for the 2023/24 season. Eddie Howe’s men finished fourth last season. As a result of that, the Magpies qualified for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in 20 years. And, this will be the third time that Tyneside will play in the top European competition. It was a statement from Newcastle as the Saudi takeover showed what the club can do at a higher level.
However, things have started differently this season as after a thumping victory over Aston Villa in the first game of the Premier League season, Newcastle went on to lose against Manchester City, Liverpool, and Brighton respectively giving a headache to Eddie Howe as he looks to get the season back on track for the Magpies. He will get a chance to make a statement when the Tyneside host Brentford at St James’ Park this weekend.
