In the world of football, new talents emerge from various corners of the globe, captivating the hearts of fans and managers alike. One such prodigious talent who has done so is Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, a Georgian winger who has been making waves throughout the Series A landscape.
In recent weeks, Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has been rumored to be on the move after Newcastle United offered over £80 million for the attacker. With the Magpies looking to bolster its attacking core, a winger like Kvaratskhelia is one that the club is not waiting patiently to go after.
For weeks now it has been rumored that the Magpies were looking to bring in more impact players after securing AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali. Now, it has been confirmed by ESPN that they are looking to bring in another Series A star in Kvaratskhelia.
He was phenomenal for Napoli as he helped lead the team to a Scudetto championship in the previous season.
Through 34 total Series A league games, Kvaratskhelia has knocked in 12 goals while passing off 10 assists showcasing that he can dominate against high competition.
His play style would fit perfectly in with Newcastle as they look to show up and provide a solid attempt at competing in the Champions League for the 2023-24 season.
One of his defining attributes is his versatility on the field, which the Magpies are looking for.
Kvaratskhelia is primarily a left-winger, but he can also operate effectively on the right flank and as an attacking midfielder. His exceptional dribbling ability, close ball control and explosive pace make him a nightmare for opposition defenders.
He also possesses a natural flair for taking on opponents which would directly play off the athletic play of forward Alexander Isak. Another key attribute he offers is his pinpoint crosses and deadly finishing ensuring that he is not just a provider but also a goal-scoring threat.
The 22-year-old just recently agreed to a deal with Napoli in the previous summer, but due to his play, he has been linked with high-end clubs on a potential move.
Outside of Newcastle, other clubs include Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
However, even with other clubs in the picture, Newcastle is rumored to have massive spending abilities this summer and could have easily enough money to go after a young star like Kvaratskhelia even if a bidding war begins.
