Allan Saint-Maximin could be on the way out for NUFC

In recent weeks the rumors have started to drastically ramp up that Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin may be on the way out for the club
After a subpar 2022-23 season, the issues continued to arise with Saint-Maximin and the club forced him into a lesser role, coming off the bench on some occasions. Now, it looks like he may know something that the fans might not have after he posted cryptic messages on social media.
“[His future] will be dictated by Maxi himself,” Howe said at the end of the 2022-23 season. “He has so much ability, and he’s such an important player for us when he’s at his very best, fitness-wise. He’s unique, there’s no one like him in the Premier League.”
Amid the speculation that Saint-Maximin’s future with the Magpies may be coming to a close, he posted a strongly worded message to those that have treated him in a negative light.
“People can keep talking when they know nothing. I just keep working,” he said on his Instagram story.
Earlier this week it was reported that he may be involved in an acquisition to bring Leicester City forward Harvey Barnes to the club. This move would offload his contract and allow for the Magpies to free up space for potentially more transfers this summer window.
This move would also free up the forwarding position for Barnes.
Since Saint-Maximin struggled this past season, the potential for a parting of ways between the two sides is at an all-time high.
Saint-Maximin is undoubtedly a talented player with his quick and skillful abilities while possessing an excellent dribbling ability.
However, his performance this past season highlighted inconsistency to stay healthy, and even when he was he struggled to deliver quality crosses and failed to create enough chances for his teammates.
Since the start of the 2023 Premier League season, he scored just one goal through 25 games and has been unable to find a starting-caliber rhythm.
