Newcastle United eyes young transfer, Yankuba Minteh, in 2023 offseason

With the continued need to improve as Newcastle United makes a push to the Champions League, the Magpies look to bring in a young winger from Odense BK, Yankuba Minteh.
Minteh, who’s been linked to the Magpies for quite some time now, has recently expressed his opinion to join the club, showing that both sides have the willingness to connect this coming offseason.
Newcastle has been linked to many different potential signings and transfers this offseason, but this might be one that helps the team in the future.
The 18-year-old has showcased tremendous poise at his age, helping contribute to the senior team after being called up for 13 games this season.
Throughout those 13 games, he’s made numerous smart decisions and helped as a critical playmaker for the team, providing three goals and six assists. Alongside an incredible stat line in his first season as a part of the senior team, he’s played 75+ minutes eight times, proving to be reliable.
On the international scene, Minteh has also made strides and shown potential by being called up to the Gambia team for friendly contests earlier in the season.
His current worth sits at just €300,000 which is very reasonable for just about any team. Odense BK has him locked down until June of 2024 but could be willing to part ways with him for a decent price.
If the Magpies were to make an offer, I would expect them to go no higher than €3,000,000.
The Champions League is approaching for the Fall of 2023 and with Newcastle United with an opportunity to be in it, the team will need to be at the top of their game in order to truly make an impact.
Bringing in a young winger like Minteh might prove to be important for the future, but for the current time, is it a smart move?
