Callum Hudson-Odoi hands Newcastle United transfer boost

Callum Hudson-Odoi is someone that Newcastle United have been linked with this summer, as it looks like the talented winger could be on his way out of Chelsea on loan, after his first-team chances seem slim at this point of time. And now, the Magpies have been handed a boost in their chase.

As reported by Chronicle Live, Newcastle United are believed to be on Chelsea’s list of potential destinations for Hudson-Odoi this summer and the player is keen on a loan move to St James’ Park.

Newcastle United have had to deal with one transfer blow after another in recent months in their quest to improve in their forward areas and as a result, this will come as a major boost for them to say the least.

But at the same time, they will face stiff competition for the signature of Hudson-Odoi as clubs across England and Europe are believed to be interested in signing the Chelsea winger.

It is not hard to see why there is so much interest in Hudson-Odoi. He was considered as a generational talent while coming through the youth ranks.

He made sparkling breakthrough at the senior level as well, and was on the verge of nailing down a spot in Chelsea’s starting XI at 18 years of age. That is rare to say the least.

He would end up suffering a serious injury that season and unfortunately, has never looked like the same player since then and never ended up nailing down a starting spot. He is still 21 years of age though and has time on his side.
