Newcastle United’s search for players going forward is becoming a worry now. There have been more than one player who the Magpies were believed to have an interest in but things led nowhere. In terms of striker, there are name like Hugo Ekitike, who has joined PSG, and Alexander Isak of Real Sociedad. In terms of wingers, Moussa Diaby was rumoured to be their top target for the summer but nothing has materialised.

With the Premier League season drawing closer though, Newcastle United cannot wait much longer and let things drag out. The Magpies need to make some additions up front soon, with them already having strengthened the defence adequately.

One winger that Newcastle United have been linked with recently is Jack Harrison of Leeds United and now, it looks like they have made a move for him as well.

As reported by Football Insider, Newcastle United have submitted a transfer bid of around £18 million for Harrison.

Newcastle United have reportedly made a bid for the Leeds United winger

Harrison is coming off of an impressive campaign, when he managed to stand out, despite Leeds United struggling and barely managing to escape relegation.

Those performances have appeared to have caught the eye of Newcastle United and it remains to be seen if they can sign the Leeds United star this summer.

It will not be easy though. On one hand, Leeds United must not be keen on losing another one of their key players after having seen Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha already leave the club this summer. On the other hand, earlier rumours had suggested that the Peacocks would want a transfer fee around £35 million to let Harrison leave.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Harrison scored 10 goals and provided 2 assists in 38 appearances for Leeds United across all competitions last season.
