It looks like Newcastle United are interested in an 18-year-old, who has already made several appearances for Aston Villa in the Premier League and is believed to be a star of the future. The player in question is Carney Chukwuemeka.

As reported by talkSPORT, Aston Villa value Chukwuemeka at a transfer fee around £20 million. The club seem to be keen on not losing him for free, with his current deal running out next summer. Newcastle United are one of the clubs believed to be in the race for his signature.

Of course, it won’t be easy for the Magpies as some of the biggest clubs in world football like Barcelona, Manchester City, Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be keeping an eye on the Aston Villa wonderkid.

Judging by the teams interested in Chukwuemeka, it looks like he has a very bright future ahead of him and it would be a major coup if Newcastle United are able to sign him.

Of course, that is easier said than done as the Aston Villa youngster is not going to have any lack of options if he does end up leaving.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Chukwuemeka has made 16 appearances for Aston Villa till now, playing 433 minutes of football in total at the senior level.
