Newcastle United have been linked with a long list of players in recent times as the club were always expected to make a splash this summer. One could argue that they have done so as well, having signed Nick Pope, Sven Botman and Matt Targett already. The Magpies are not expected to stop there though and there are a few more positions where they need to bring in reinforcements.

One of them is striker, as both Callum Wilson and Chris Wood struggled to find the back of the net last season. The club will need a regular goalscorer though if they are to improve on their 11th place Premier League finish this season and potentially challenge for European qualification spots.

It had looked like Newcastle United were closing in on a move for Hugo Ekitike but that transfer saga has dragged on, and as a result, the Magpies must have their eyes on other players as well, and it appears that Armando Broja of Chelsea is one of them.

As reported by i, Broja is understood to be open to moving to Newcastle United. West Ham United and Everton are in the race for the striker as well though.

Broja spent the previous season out on loan at Southampton and while he might not have scored a lot of goals, he did showcase a lot of skills and attributes which could see him being a Premier League star in the future.

One must remember that Broja is still just 20 years of age and he has plenty of time on his hands to develop his game.

While several clubs appear to be interested in his signature, it is believed that Thomas Tuchel will take a look at him in pre-season before Chelsea make a decision on Broja’s future.
